25-year-old Waters has been sidelined until the close-season with ruptured ankle ligaments, meaning Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton has had to bring in Spurs striker Giovani Dos Santos on-loan for the rest of the season to replace the injured Walters.
19-year-old Mexican International Dos Santos moved to Spurs from Barcelona in June 2008, but has struggled to find a regular first-team place with the Premier League side, and Spurs boss Harry Redknapp advised Dos Santos to take the opportunity of regular first-team football by joining Ipswich in their quest to secure a play-off place.

"Gio has got a great pedigree having been at Barcelona and playing 30-
"He's played games for Tottenham in the Premier League and in Europe and he will bring some added quality to the squad.
"He is with us for the rest of the season and will go straight into the squad for the Reading game and be in contention
