QPR Seal Loan-Deal For Young Spurs Star - Watch Him In Action

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Adel Taarabt has secured a loan-move to Championship side Queens Park Rangers until the end of the 2008/09 season.

The 19-year-old Moroccan International, who made his debut for Morocco against the Czech Republic this year, moved to Spurs from French side RC Lens in 2007, but struggled to find a place in the Tottenham side while former Lilywhites boss Juande Ramos was in charge, with the attacking midfielder failing to receive a squad number from the Spanish tactician at the start of this season.

The former France Under-16, Under-17 and U-18 player managed to feature three times under new Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, with substitute appearances in the FA Cup against Manchester United and against Arsenal in the Premier League this year.

However, Taarabt has now decided to make a move across the Capital to secure regular first-team football with Championship side QPR, who are still aiming to seal a play-off spot, with the talented attacking midfielder likely to make his debut for Paulo Sousa's side when they travel to face Southampton on Saturday.

Taarabt, speaking to the official QPR website, said: “Harry Redknapp told me that Tottenham are not really in a position to give young players like me an opportunity right now, and he said that QPR were keen on me.

“He told me to come here and show what I can do. As soon as I knew about the move, I was interested.

“Other Championship clubs came in for me, but QPR is a team that plays football in a way that I like to play it.”
