West Ham United have been linke with a summer move for Inter Milan striker David Suazo, who had been a target for Premier League rivals Everton in January and is currently on loan at Portuguese side Benfica.
Honduran International Suazo is considered surplus to requirements at the San Siro by Inter boss Jose Mourinho, with the striker seeming destined to depart the Nerazzurri at the end of this campaign
Benfica are understood to want to extend Suazo’s loan period at the Stadium of Light for another season, but Inter are believed to prefer a straight sale for Suazo, with reports claiming that Hammers manager Gianfranco Zola is ready to make an approach for the Honduran in the coming weeks and bring the striker to Upton Park.
Suazo has scored four times in 12 appearances in the league for the Eagles this season on his loan spell from the San Siro, where he failed to settle after his transfer from Cagliari in 2007 and is valued at just under £10million by transfermarket.co.uk, but could be available for less, given Mourinho’s apparent haste to discard the Honduran.
